On April 26th, the USC Philosophy Club is organizing a mini-conference day where students will present 15-20 minute long talks on absolutely any topic that they are passionate about. A tradition started by our former club president, Ben Rolnik, “Conversations” is an annual discussion by students for students (true to our club motto, “to please or to educate!”). Promoting the University trait of “Scholarly,” the mini-conference gives students a platform to promote their academic voice without worry of pressure or judgment. Last year, more than 30 students presented in the conference and over 100 attendees came to our event. If you are interested in presenting this year, please send us your name, topic and abstract as soon as possible. Students of any class/degree level are welcome to present on any papers/topics of interest. For sign-ups, questions or concerns, please e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
